Spiro Konduri (1941 – 2024)
Sound engineer and operator in Kinostudio’s “Shqiperia e Re”.
Born in Durres on June 20, 1941, where he completed high school.
In 1964, finished his higher studies at the University of Tirana as an electronic engineer. Konduri worked until 1969 as an engineer at the “Shijaku” Radio Station and at that time was transferred to Radio-Tirana where he worked until 1975.
Konduri then works for three years at the “Metallurgical Plant” in Elbasan. In Kinostudio, starts working as a sound operator in the documentary film. His first film is “Arbereshet”, which was awarded an award for the soundtrack.
At the same time, he deals with sound recording in some cartoons. The first feature film where he recorded the soundtrack was “General gramafoni” – 1978. Until 1991, he made about 20 other feature films, in addition to documentaries and cartoons.
Spiro Konduri was honored with a prize for the cartoon “Libra”.
The feature films include: “In our house” – 1979; “Autumn Rebukes” – 1981; “In every season” – 1981 (honored with a prize); “Decision” – 1984; “And one day comes” – 1986; “Tales from the past” – 1987; “Murder in hunting” – 1987; “The Return of the Dead Army” – 1989;
In 1991, he passed again as an engineer and in 1992, was chief engineer at Radio-Tirana. His last film was the documentary “Bora qe bie ne det” made in 1999.
Konduri passed away on March 16, 2024.
