Distribution of medals after the 9th day of the Olympics: The Chinese team continues to lead with 51 medals, of which 24 gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze. The USA is in second place with a total of 59 medals, 20 gold, 23 silver and 15 bronze. In third place are the Japanese with 31 medals, of which 17 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze.
