The film “Two years of vacation” with the original title:
Deux ans de vacances is based on an adventure novel by Jules Verne, published in 1888.

The story tells about the fate of a group of students stranded on a desert island in the South Pacific and their efforts to overcome the disaster. In his foreword to the book, Verne explains that his goals were to create a Robinson Crusoe-like environment for children and to show the world what a child’s intelligence and courage could do when put to the test.
