Agron Gashi
Actor of secondary roles in Albanian cinema. Character actor originally from Pristina.
Born in Elbasan on May 1, 1933. In the period 1949-1951 he was an actor in the Army Theater. While from 1954 to 1962 he was a member of the Popular Theater. Later in the period of the years `62-`68, the actor works as a teacher in the secondary school of Culture, Tirana, in the years `70-`75 in the Central House of Popular Creativity as an editor of publications, `80-`90 at the National Center for the Qualification of Cultural Personnel as a theater specialist.
His profile belongs to a character actor, he embodied many secondary roles, interesting and original portraits such as that of Qaniu in the theatrical play “Over the ruins” by F. Pacrami, or Febdton in “The Merry Wives of Windsor” by W. Shakespeare, Abdullai in N. Lucas’ “Seven Shaljanes”, the Turkish guard in “Dragoi i Dragobise”, Tomash in “Ceshtja familiale”, etc.
In 1956, stands out with the role of Petrit in S. Pitarka’s drama “The Fisherman’s Family”.
Agron Gashi has helped in the preparation and professional qualification of actors and directors who came from the amateur movement, as well as cultural leaders in the districts of production.
He also worked in the Puppet Theater.
While in Albanian cinema, he is remembered for the role of Skafandra in the movie “The Threat”.
Other films: “Apassionata” – 1983 / “Autumn rains” – 1984 / “Behind the Facade ” – 1992.
The actor passed away on August 16, 2023,
