Besnik Aliaj
Director and actor of Theater “Petro Marko” – Vlore!

Born in Vlore on May 10, 1950. Completed his higher studies at the High Institute of Arts for an actor in 1972, as well as a one-year course for a director in 1981. As an actor with a tendency towards satire and comedy, the roles of Hlestakov in “Revizori” stand out., Volodja in “Red Signal” and Muhameti in “The Second Face”.

As a director, he put on the stage of the “Petro Marko” theater in Vlora many pieces that had echoes, such as the comedy “The Barber of Seville” by Beaumarchais (1981); Agim Shehu’s “Shpartallimi” (1982); “Between two loves” (1984); “Blue Crystal” (1988) by Mihallaq Luarasi; “Dakovozaberesi” (1979) by Loni Pape and other “Arbeni”; “Comrade Zylo”; “Ballad for the Commissar”;

Aliaj tends to “clean” mise-en-scenes, with little movement, as well as a language that leans towards symbolism. After an emigration of more than 10 years in Greece, he returned to the theater in 2004, putting on the stage of “Petro Marko” theater , the play “The Spider” by G. Franccione as well as the comedy “Lies with long legs” by E. De Filippo, the latter at the “Bylis” theater in Fieri.
