Artan Sejko
Albanian theater and cinematography actor!
He was born in Tirana on May 13, 1954. As a child, Sejko came into contact with art by singing, and then at the age of 18 he became active as an amateur in acting. Studied and graduated from the High Institute of Arts as an actor in 1985.
In the period 1985-1993 worked as an actor in the “Popular Theater”.
Sejko performed in several shows, starting at the Academy of Arts with the comedy “The Prefect” (1985) directed by Birce Hasko, in the role of the captain.
Then in the “Popular Theater” (later National) we can mention the performances : “Shadows of the Night” (1986) directed by Zef Bushati, in the role of a partisan; “Who brought Doruntina” (1989) directed by Fatos Haxhiraj, in the role of Doruntine’s husband; “Romeo and Juliet” (1990) directed by Dhimiter Pecani, in the role of Tybalt; “Moonlit Night” (1991) directed by Edmond Budina, in the role of Fred;
Artan Sejko was also a co-director in the plays “Me and Mephistopheles” (1988), alongside Arben Imami; “Ricardi III” (1993) alongside Agim Qirjaqi.
He also performed in several Albanian films such as:
“Autumn’s reproaches” in the role of the captain (1981); “Apassionata” (1983) in the role of Agron; “The End of a Blood Feud” (1983) the spy; “The Militant” (1984) as Jovani, the Montenegrin soldier;
“Three people with “guna” (1985) in the role of Skender;
“Chronicle of a night” (1990) German officer.
He immigrated to Canada in 1993 and engaged in commercial activities. Sejko Currently lives in Ontario.
