Bujar Luca
Film painter and costume designer!
Born on June 21, 1954. Graduated from the High Institute of Arts in the branch of visual arts in Tirana.
Started as a costume painter in the two-part film “Freedom or Death” – 1979. Until 1991, Luca made about 16 films, among which only three as a film painter:
“After death” – 1980; “Like all the others” – 1981; “Black and white” – 1991.
Of the 13 other films as a costume painter, we can mention:
“Good Man” – 1982; “Warm hand” – 1983; “Who died on foot” – 1984; “Mondi and Diana” – 1985; “And one day comes” – 1986; “Small Encirclement” – 1986; “Circle of memory” – 1987; “Mission beyond the sea” – 1988; “Njerez ne rryme” (1989) etc.
After the 1990s, he immigrated to Paris, France.
During the following years, he opened individual and joint exhibitions: 1991 – Galerie “Gérard Rambaud”, Paris; 1992 – Gallery “Cobra” Brussels, Belgium; 1993 Lachermeier, Center d’art et d’Essai, Paris. La Caisse d’épargne, Le Mans; 2008- « Black Box » Espace Saint Louis, Bar Le Duc etc. and the last one dates back to c. 2017 – « L’anello del mondo » Galleria Zabert, Turin, Italy.
While joint exhibitions, the three most recent ones are:
2015 “Albanian journey”, Parlement NRW- Düsseldorf, Allemagne (Collection de la Galerie Nationale des Arts, Tirana, Albania);
2016 “Albanian film art and design”, Galerie Nationale des Arts, Tirana, Albania;
