Pandi Siku
Successful Albanian theater and cinematography actor.

Born on July 28, 1949, in Tirana. Graduated from the High Institute of Arts in Tirana in the department of drama and then in 1973 joined the troupe of the Popular Theater (today the National Albanian Theatre) performing many roles, mainly second ones.

His activity will span the period from 1973 to 2001. In the theater, Siku will perform in the dramas “Our Land / Toka e jone” and “Together with the dawn / Bashke me agimin”.

Then we can mention many other theatrical performances such as: Adlin in “Dead River / Lumi vdekur”; Halimi “After the last exam / Pas provimit te fundit”; Arjani in “The life of another / Jeta e tjetrit “; Shpendi in “Pre-trial Era / Epoka para gjyqit” (1978), Bardhi in “Furnace / Furrnalta” (1979), “Besa e madhe”; “Karavidhet”; Rema in “Communists” (1981), Merkusi in “Romeo and Juliet”; Valentine in “Two Gentlemen from Verona” (1990), “Twelfth Night”; Lucencio in “The Taming of the Rebellion / Zbutja e kryeneces”; Constantine in “Who brought Doruntinen / Kush e solli Dorutinen”; Rexhepi in “Besa”; Participant of the choir in “Quoa vadis”; Amnekofi in “Ancient Absurdity” etc.

 

Even though he had in most cases secondary roles, he achieved stand out for his performance, winning twice an award as “Best Supporting Actor with performances in “Furrnalta” and “Quo Vadis”, the latter in 1997.

After 2001, he left the theater and from a few years ago, Siku emigrated to the USA, in Illinois where he used to live with his family and occasionally worked in the theater.

Pandi Siku has been working in film since he was a student in 1971, at the age of 22, in “When it dawned a day”; In 1973, he will be in the role of the protagonist in “Furrows / Brazdat” as Adem, a role that will make him known to the audience.

The last film was in 1999 in “White Sheets / Letra te bardha”. He knew how to professionally build types and characters, sometimes bursting into interpretations with funny jokes, such as the peasant, the young patriot, the worker, the tractor driver, the driver, etc.

From time to time he visits Albania and can sometimes be present in the scenes of the capital.
