Tonin Vuksani
Painter and director of the Kinostudio cartoon “Shqiperia e Re”. He is remembered as the creator of the beautiful cartoon “The Ox and the Wolf /Kau dhe Ujku”!
Vuksani is born in Shkoder on August 23, 1954. Graduated from the High Institute of Arts for painting in 1977 and started working as a painter in the cartoon sector at Kinostudio “Shqiperia e re”, becoming one of the first cadres of this sector who gave a significant help in the preparation of the frames and the increase in the production of cartoons.
Vuksani made his first film as a director and painter in 1978 “The squirrel helps the friend / Ketri ndihmon shoket”.
Until 1984, when he worked in this sector, Vuksani made 8 films and from year to year there was an increase in the quality of his films, of which we can mention: “The bear opens new land / Arushi hap toke te re”; “Lustra, lustra” in 1979; “Ants and seedlings / Milingonat dhe fidanet”; “Ox and wolf / Kau dhe ujku” in 1980; “The bear is looking for a father / Arushi kerkon babane” – 1981; “Snowman / Burri prej debore” and “The Tail / Bishti” – 1982; “In the fir forest / Ne pyllin me bredha” – 1984.
In 1981, he was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Balkan Animated Film Festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 
After this activity, Vuksani worked as a lecturer at the Institute of Arts (today the Academy of Arts). Except as a director-painter of cartoons, he has a busy activity in the art of painting. Graphics, posters, illustration of covers and children’s books.
He is the winner of the postage stamp competition “Pope John Paul II’s visit to Albania (1993).
As a scenographer, he was engaged in several theater performances, such as the drama “In life / Ne jete” – 1982, as well as in various spectacles (1985 scenography of the National Children’s Festival in Shkoder).
From 1993, he also worked as a specialist for visual arts, at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
From 1999 he immigrated to the USA working as an architectural designer. He is the co-author of the large relief “Paramount” in 2002, located in Time Square in New York.
