Nestor Pogaçe (1915-1983)
Veteran actor of the founding generation of the Theater and Estrade of Fier! One of the “pioneer” actors of this theater.
Born in Fier on May 9, 1915. Started his activity with the drama theater of the “House of Culture” and from the amateur movement, together with 21 other actors. Under the direction of the director Llazar Verria, they would lay the foundations of the drama theater of the city of Fier.
Yes, before that in 1957, Nestor Pogace will be part of the founding generation of Estrada, which was the second variety troupe created in Albania, after the Tirana variety troupe. Estrada was a type of dramatic art which contained interspersed short comic pieces such as: sketch, couplet, parody, song, etc.
This theater started its activity with a staff of actors and singers such as: Nestor Pogaçe, Terezina Gjerazi, Natalia Mëhilli, Vasilika Kaleshi, Fuat Boçi, Leonidha Prifti, Kujtim Jorgaqi, Pjerina Shoshi, Skënder Lloshi, Mehmet Muka, Isuf Maloku, Llazar Doko , Kozma Shallapi, Sokrat Robo, Sofika Dimo, Shpresa Memo, Timo Lule, Stavri Gjerazi, Luçi Bele. The director was Llazar Verria.
Nestor Pogace was also active in some of the Albanian films produced by Kinostudio, although in secondary or episodic roles. His portrait of a grandfather caught the eye in the films:
Triumph over Death – 1967 ; Furrows – 1973 ; Freedom Forest – 1976 Hearts that don’t age – 1977 ; Martyrs of monuments – 1980!
Passed away on May 5, 1983
