The content of the film
The Germans come between snow and winter. Only the women remain in the village, who fight until the wounded partisans, sheltered in the village, retreat deeper and the snow covers the tracks. Face to face with the Germans, and under their control, the women of the village, led by mother Shano and mother Mara, set off in droves to make wood but actually arrive with bread and food for the partisans.
