Spiro Strati (1936 – 1999)
Comedy actor in the “Estrada” of Durres. Also active in several feature films of Kinostudio. Merited artist!
Born in Durres on April 22, 1933, was one of the founding actors of the Professional Theater of Durres in 1960. Strati worked with this troupe for over 30 years, until he retired. He played in over 148 premieres and in each of them he had an average of 6-7 roles of different sizes and genres: in humorous pieces, monologues, dialogues, pantomimes, parodies, etc.
In his humorous career, those types and characters that came from the stress of corrupt officials, bureaucracies, conceited, authoritarian, unscrupulous and gloomy people stood out. 
On the other hand, he was just as successful in drawing the types of greedy and uncared-for peasants, gendarmes, serviles people who changed color, and unjust profiteers, as seen in the premieres:
“Through Durres” (1960) ; “The Magic Box” (1965); “Fleterrufe” (1966), “Fire on rumours” (1970); “Bon Voyage Comrade Xhemil” (1975); “A bridegroom is wanted” (1978); “Musical Comedy” (1978); “Look at yourself in the mirror” (1979); “See and write” (1984); “Goodmorning ” (1986), “Trcikster” etc.
Meanwhile, he also acted in the films: “Journey in Spring” – 1975 in the role of Kiu; “Bullets to Emperor” – 1980!
His acting was especially liked for the quality of humor in grotesque levels, for expressive mimicry, playing with his voice and rich intonations, the use of sub-dialects and jargon, the variability of action and burlesque behavior within the situation, plastic twists, etc.
He held the title “Merited Artist”
