Violeta Simoni was born on October 10, 1942. She was involved in artistic activities related to music and acting at a young age. After graduating from the Artistic Lyceum, she worked as a music teacher, while her first stage appearance was participation in the Albanian Radio Television Festival in 1962.
She was represented at this event with the songs “Mos më qorto” (Don’t scold me), where she managed to win third prize, and “Lule te bukura sjell pranvera” (Beautiful Flowers Bring Spring), where she had her artistic peak this year, to be followed by awards for her visual appearance on stage, being considered “Miss Festival”.

Violeta Simoni then continued her career as a professional singer on the Tirana stage. During this time, she performed various musical duets with Pavlina Nikaj, Arta Babaramo and Tonin Tërshana. Her repertoire includes several songs, including “Lumturi”, sung with Ylber Gimjanin, “Erdha”, “Kitara partizane” etc.

For the last time in public, singer Violeta Simoni appeared in 2012, in two television shows. Despite her age and artistic activity developed before the 1990s, singer Violeta Simoni was known as an open-minded character.
In the last television edition where she appeared, her story was related to a tattoo she had made on her body, even though she was 69 years old.

In recent years, also due to her physical condition, Violeta Simoni had withdrawn from artistic life. Meanwhile, during 2012 she has been active in giving interviews to various media regarding her activity, emphasizing the time when she was part of the Tirana Estrada.

She leaves us on February 1, 2013, found without signs of life in her apartment, from where it is suspected of a heart attack.
