Sali Brari (1935 – 2020) Singer, mainly of popular music. Participant for many years of the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances. He was born in Tirana on May 18, 1935. Since elementary school, his talent was revealed with his sweet and warm voice, being active in the musical activities of that period. In 1956, Sali Brari was appointed a singer at the State Estrada. With the creation of the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances in 1957, he joined this troupe until he retired. During this period, he also completed the Artistic High School near the canto branch. In the repertoire of Sali Brari we find a variety of folk songs, processed songs, folk songs created by our composers, up to his interpretation in the operetta "Golden Autumn" by the composer Tish Daija as well as the opera "Skënderbeu". Sali Brari shone in every square and on every stage of the country. He was equally successful in the tours of the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances in Europe, Asia and Africa. Sali Brari has surprised foreigners with his interpretative power, the beautiful echo that he transmitted, the melodious voice and the sweetness of the transmission of emotions. Halls or squares resounded on every European stage when Sali Brari performed. For his activity and contribution in the field of popular music interpretation, the People's Assembly has awarded him with the Order "Naim Frashëri" of the 1st Class.
