PREMIERES OF “POPULAR THEATER”!
Like today on this date, 63 years ago, on June 26, 1962, the premiere of the play “Artani” by the author S. Vaqarri was given on the stage of the “Popular Theater”. (1962-2025)

Since this was a large-scale show and many roles were needed, in its interpretation were also the actors: Avni Resuli, Qenan Toro, Liza Vorfi (MA), Lazer Filipi (PA), Seit Boshnjaku, Xhevat Serezi, Neki Shkaba and others.
It should also be mentioned regarding the costumes. Being childhood friends and close friends throughout life with the master of Albanian ethnography, Mr. Rrok Zojzin, the great actor, Pjeter Gjoka, together with the stage designer of the show, exchanged many opinions regarding the costume design for the show, since its theme belonged to the early period of Illyria.
The tailoring department was led by Paskal Papaqako, Voina Kadiq, (and two others). From time to time Mr. Rrok Zojzi who gave him the right advice. The costumes of the show turn out very nice. Some costumes from that show survived until 2017, but with the destruction of the theater they also disappeared.
