Flora Mertiri (Biku)
Actress of secondary or episodic roles.
Flora Mërtiri was born in 1950 in Tirana. Mertiri was raised and educated in Tirana. She was still a student when director Fehmi Hoshafi chose her for the role of “Kryetarka” in the film “Kapedani” (1972).
She is graduated but had another job. She worked as a cartographer. There she met her partner and future husband, Tole Biku, who was active with the artistic group of the Institute, formerly called the Topographical-Geodetic Detachment.
She is best remembered by the Albanian audience for her performance as the head of the cooperative “Kryetarka” in the comedy “Kapedani” – 1972. After this year or performance, we do not encounter her name in any film.
However, regardless of the sporadic interpretations of some secondary actors, the purpose of this page is to remember without forgetting them, even though finding information about this group of actors is almost impossible, a “mission impossible”.
