Frederik Zhilla (1948 – 1998)
Actor of secondary and episodic roles who came from the amateur movement. However, he was lucky enough to perform in a considerable number of Kinostudio films, although he did not come from the acting school but from the amateur movement.
Frederik Zhilla was born on November 14, 1948, in Tirana. Frederik lived a life dedicated to work, art, family, and the highest human values.
Graduating with excellent results from the “Harry Fultz” school, he continued his studies in Mechanical Engineering for three years and became a valued professional in the technical field, working in the Technical Bureau and then as a Quality Controller of car and tractor engine equipment at the Tirana Auto tractor Plant.
A man of many talents, Frederik Zhilla was not limited to his technical profession. He was an active part of cultural life, as a member of the factory choir, a speaker at the Tractor Factory Assembly, where he often shared the stage with actress Silvana Braçe, and a news anchor at Albanian Radio Television.
His appreciation as a character actor in supporting roles in film was deepened by the collaboration and promotion by Albanian directors.
Frederick was a man of broad culture, a passionate reader, especially of history and geography, who spoke fluent English, Italian, and Russian.
His patriotism was not just a feeling, but a daily part of his life. He was the first Boy Scout of the city of Tirana, passing on this spirit of dedication to his wife and two sons, Fabian and Dorian.
Above all, Frederik Zhilla was a beloved, charming and highly respected man in Ali Demi neighborhood no. 1, where he lived until the end of his life. Passionate about guitar and singing, he brought moments of joy and reflection to his family and social circle.
Frederick passed away prematurely, on August 15, 1998, at the age of 49, from a heart attack, leaving behind a deep void in the family and community that loved and honored him.
