Katrina Biga
Actress of the Shkoder Estrade Theater and was active in several Albanian feature films.

Born in Shkoder on June 30, 1949. She comes from a family from “Malesia e madhe”. After graduating from the high school of pedagogy with very good scores, she worked as a teacher in Tamara of Malësi e Madhe for about two years.

Throughout her work as a teacher, she stood out for her high scientific training, natural intellect and extensive erudition acquired on the basis of a continuous and persistent work for self-formation and completion of her image as a true intellectual.

Although she did not see any relevant school, in Katerina, in particular, the acting tendency that she represented in herself stood out, so in 1975 she started working as a professional actress in Shkodra’s variety show. It only took a short time for Katerina to become one of the most loved actresses for the public and well respected by the management staff of the show.

Biga was already entrusted with some of the most complicated roles to perform on stage. In this period, Katerina crosses the boundaries of recognition not only for the city of Shkodra, but her figure becomes loved and respected throughout Albania.

Penetration into the inner world of the character, familiarity with her, interpretative virtuality, perfect gesticulation rank her at the top of the constellation of Shkodra actors of that time.

18 years of “longevity” with Shkodra’s variety show. In the history of this variety show, it has left an indelible mark on the golden road located next to many luminaries of this variety show as part of the “Migjeni” Theater.

For a long time in people’s memory, her roles will remain unforgettable, which gave the audience a deep smile, where we can mention: Cikolarja e Gonxhes; Lena on the counter; the role of Zana in the comedy “Under the shadow of a branch; Lili in the “Xhemal Katunari” etc.

In Cinematography, she debuts in 1970 in the film “Valley of Riflemen”, then in two other films in the same year (1979) “Days that brought spring” TV and with an excellent interpretation that cannot be left without mentioning was the role of Katerina in the well-known movie “Face to Face”.

In 1980, Katerina Biga is in the comedy film “Comradess from the village” alongside the great Violeta Manushi and Robert Ndrenika;

In 1981 in “The Threat” in the role of Kristine.

Meanwhile, in 1984, she plays alongside another prominent comedian, Luftar Paja, in “Dream of a Chair” as Agathia, his wife.
