Roland Minga
Director of the “Petro Marko” Theater, Vlore!
Born in Vlorë, on July 6, 1966. He headed the High Institute of Directing Arts in 1990, and soon after was appointed to the theater “Petro Marko” in Vlorë*.
Among his most realized projects are: “Out the door / Jashté derés” by Borhert (1993), “Sacrifice / Sakrifice”, based on the novel “Bridge with three arches / Ura me tre harqe” by Ismail Kadaresé* (1997), “Knights of Aristophanes” (2005), “Little married / Pak i martuar” by George Fejdos (2007), “It’s important to be honest” by Oscar Wilde (2007).
Minga created an ensemble show, with a graceful and elegant play, harmonized in style and with interesting findings, while in the drama “The killers of the dead” after Teodor Laco (2008). His directorial language preferred symbolic elements in the treatment of the chorus of shadows, the conventions of mise-en-scène as well as the scenography concept, leaving psychological approaches in the background.
He is a director who implements clear ideas, likes the cleanliness of the setting, an energetic dialogue, as well as reinterpretations of early texts.
