Gjinovefa Rredhi
Actress of the dramatic theater “Petro Marko”, Vlore and professional theater in Greece.
Born in Llakatund, Vlora. She graduated from the High Institute of Arts and then right after started working with the Vlora theater “Petro Marko”. In addition to theater performances with this troupe, she was also active in several films in secondary or episodic roles.
Gjinovefa is a theatrical actress. During her student years as an actress, she performed with the student troupe of the Academy of Arts in the plays “Bernarda Alba’s House” in the role of Bernarda’s eldest daughter, as well as in the comedy “Rain in the beach / Shi ne plazh” in the role of Milo’s wife, Izmini (photos as below).
Then, in 1986, she appears in the film “One day comes / Dhe vjen nje dite”, an episodic role in that of a wife.
Between a year later in 1987, however, Rredhi has a more than secondary role in the film “In the name of freedom / Ne emer te lirise”, playing the teacher of the area, Aferdite; this is also a more “pure” interpretation where it catches the eye of the viewers of the movie screen for its interpretative skills.

After 1997, the actress emigrated to Greece where, after many efforts and struggles, she continued to practice her profession as an actress, and precisely during this period of time, she became a well-known actress, always in the theater profile.
After many-year period at the Theater of Vlora, Gjinovefa was realizing her professional dreams, as an actress, in Greece.
Her role in 2012 will be in a monodrama at the Monodrama Festival that took place in Vlora and where Vefi (as her relatives and colleagues affectionately call her) represented the Albanian community in Greece.
She even wins the first prize as the best actress. After that, the period of artistic life in Greece restarted, with a series of roles, in different parts, such as “Jordan”, then with “Hecuba” by Euripides, with which Redhi represented Greece at the International Theater Festival that took place in Sarajevo , in 2013, then with “The House of Bernarda Alba”, directed by Enke Fezollari, etc., to come to the successful season of 2016.
It should be mentioned that in 2016 she performed about 170 shows on the stages of theaters in the neighboring country, fulfilling her artistic needs. From these diverse shows, we can distinguish: “Bernarda Alba’s House”, as well as “The Sweet Bird of Youth”.
