Ilirian Fatkoja
Theater Director and Actor!

Ilirjan Fatkoja is born in Shkodër on August 29, 1953. In 1969, began his higher studies at the Higher Institute of Arts (ILA), where he graduated in the departments of Acting and Directing.

Fatkoja was then appointed an actor at the “Skampa” Theater in Elbasan, at a time when the director of this theater was the great Lec Shllaku. In addition to the roles played on the stage of “Skampa”, Fatko stood out in the role of Martin Camaj in the drama “Shembja e Idhujve”.

In cinematography, we can mention the role of Sami, one of the 5 young boys who symbolize the five heroes who fell in Vig, by the traitorous and subversive, gang forces of Gjon Markagjoni and his clique, in the film “Besa e Kuqe”.

For 15 years he has been a theater director, staging over twenty premieres with the variety theater. In 1984, in collaboration with Albanian Television, he shot the film “Andi’s Truth”. In 1989, he staged the drama “Six Persons Under Question” by R. Hossein.

As a director, he has produced a series of notable documentaries, including: “Isa Boletini” (1984), “The Man Who Made the Stone Speak” (Greece, 2007) and “Life Carved in Color” (2002), dedicated to the painter Sefedin Agolli. His literary activity includes the publication of a cycle of stories, the novella “Pyramids” and the novel “In Another’s Land”.

Fatkoja has also written scripts for documentaries produced by Albanian Television and other television channels.
