Vangjel Leka
Worked as a sound operator in the Kinostudio “Shqiperia e re”

Born in Durres on August 15, 1926. Leka has completed two classes at the agricultural secondary school and started working in the Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re” since its establishment, as a writing and editing technician, maintenance of audio equipment.

A dedicated and devout man, of few words and steadfast, who gradually mastered the profession and together with Koco Tollko and Xhevat Behri became the founders of the sound department in Albanian cinematography.

Initially, he deals with sound recording for newsreels, chronicles and documentaries in the studio and later also on expeditions.

In 1967, he made his first feature film as a sound operator, “Silent Duel” with A. Raxhimi, and a year later, in 1968, independently, “Estrada ne ekran”.

In addition to dozens of chronicles and documentary films, he worked as a sound operator in 14 feature films, among which we can mention: “I teti ne bronz” – 1970; “Ben ecen vete” – 1975; “Dimri i fundit” – 1975; “Tomka dhe shoket e tij” – 1977; “Ne prag te lirise” – 1981; “Njeriu i mire” – 1982; “Apasionata” – 1983; “Taulanti kerkon nje moter” – 1984;
