Majlinda Berxolli
Actress, music composer.

Born in Tirana on May 13, 1958, where she graduated from the “Jordan Misja” artistic high school in the music department. Her intention was to become a pianist, but life gave her another direction, becoming one of the most vocal formulators of the former Kinostudio, and who began her artistic life with an interpretation in the film “Spring in Gjirokastër” (1978).


Berxolli started working at Kinostudio on September 13, 1980, in the editing department as a music composer. After working here for a long time in a large number of chronicle and documentary films, from 1985, she also deals with editing and synchronizing noises and various sound effects in about 15 feature films, during the period 1985-1990.

The first film, as a music formulator, was “The Intendent”. From these films we can mention: “Uninterrupted Melody” (1985); “Don’t be silent” (1985); “The Tracks” (1987); “Wax Shirts” (1987); “The investigation continues” (1988); “Colors of age” (1990). Majlinda even performed as actress in the film “Spring in Gjirokaster” (1978).

Berxolli also had an early relationship with RTSH, since she was in high school and in the meantime covered children’s programs on radio and television.

She left Albania after 2000 to join her husband, who meanwhile was working in Italy. After returning from Italy, in 2010 she started working in the same profession, at RTSH, from where for 4 years (2014) she worked on several films alongside Kujtim Gjonaj and at RTSH in documentary films with different themes such as also in many television shows. Among the first, the films for the 100th anniversary of Independence stand out, as well as a series of films about prominent personalities of Albanian history and current events, such as the film “I have a soul, I have hope” by the “Great Master” Esat Teliti, dedicated to the intellectual of outstanding Jani Basho.
