Edmond Topi
Actor / Assistant director / Director and producer
Born in Tirana on July 1, 1960. Topi studied at the High Institute of Arts for an actor. He performed a successful role in the movie “Like Everyone” (1981) as Vili.
In 1985 Topi transferred to Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re” working as an assistant director in the films “Don`t be silent” (1985); “Whiteness” (1986); “Twice mat” (1986); “Telephone of a morning” (1987); “People in the Stream” (1989); “Ballad of Kurbin” (1990).
In 1989 he made his first film as a director “Nositi”, in 1991 “Dictatorship”.
The year 1999 will come when Edmond Topi will make his first film as a director and producer entitled “Kosova, kuje e kushtrim”!
He is the director of the “Dea” International Film Festival.
In 2017, Topi made another film with the title “Future Stars” with the participation, among others, of the golden generation actors of the Popular Theater and Kinostudio, such as Tinka Kurti, Margarita Xhepa, Reshat Arbana, Luftar Paja, Karafil Shena, etc.
