Pellumb Panariti
Cinematographer of the Albanian documentary and artistic film at Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”

Born in Korce on July 10, 1950. Finished his studies at the Pedagogical Institute, Language and Literature branch. In 1975, started working as an assistant operator at Kinostudio “Shqipéria e re”, making together with others 16 feature films, such as: “Lady from the City” (1976), “Man with Cannon” (1977), “General Gramophone” (1978), “The Good Man” (1982), etc.

As a cameraman, he came out with the documentary film “In the Puppet Theater”, after which he made more than 30 such films, among them: “Frank Bardhi”, 1989 (“A. Moisiu” Award). “Holy Mountain”, 1994, “Tirana” 1996, “Pavilion no. 1” 1996, “In search of Hafize Leskoviku”, 2000, “The Meteore of the Scene” 2002, “Roots”, 2003, “Earth and sky of Dritéro Agolli”, 2004, etc.

P. Panariti has also shot 8 feature films as a cameraman, such as: “Waxed shirts” (co-operator with L. Konomi), 1987, “Three people cross the mountain”, 1988, “A girl and a boy”, 1990, “Rapists” 1994, “The Night” 1998, “Old age is over”, 200l, “Cats in the snow”, 2002, etc.

He does a careful job with the portrait of the actresses in conveying the emotional charge of the dramatic moment, as well as with the use of light regarding the differentiation of the figures during the dialogue and the filmic action, such as in “Night”.

It stands out for its skillful shooting in the interior, creating the most functional acting spaces (the movie Rapists), etc.
