Shqipe Zani Soprano,
“Great Master”
Born on July 16, 1951 in the small town of Gramsh. Perhaps the beautiful nature of the city inspired the Albanian in her childhood and nourished her spiritual and artistic world. Zani comes from an intellectual family, who raised her with love for art and the most positive values.
They have been participants in the national-liberation war and have worked for the benefit of the country.
Between 1964 and 1968, she graduated from the Artistic High School “Jordan Misja”, Tirana, in Theory. Zani then continued at the Conservatory in the years 1970 – 1973: Higher studies at the Conservatory of Tirana, Kanto branch, in the class of Prof. Shpresa Nishani, followed by a one-year internship at the Opera and Ballet Theater, the troupe of Soloists.
From 1995 to 1996 Zani worked at the Santa Cecilia Academy, Rome (5 months) with a Tempus scholarship.
1998: Santa Cecilia Academy, Rome (1 month) with a Tempus scholarship.
From 1984 to 1992 she was an External Lecturer at the Faculty of Music, KANTO Branch, Academy of Fine Arts
1992 onwards – Definitive Internal Lecturer at the Faculty of Music, KANTO Branch, Academy of Fine Arts.
1996 – Appointed Head of the Canto Section at the Faculty of Music A successful career, with a dense artistic activity, and appreciated by the public with many awards…
1974 – 1992: Soloist at the Theater of Opera and Ballet, where she performed the following roles in stage works:

1982 – role of Myzeta, Opera “Boheme” by Giacomo Puccini
1983 – role of Frasquita, Opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet
1984 – the role of Rozina, Opera “The Barber of Seville” by Jh. Rossini 1985 – the role of Tosca, Opera “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini
1986 – the role of Xhilda, Opera “Rigoleto” by Giuseppe Verdi
1987 – the role of CiuciuSani, Opera “Butterfly” by Giacomo Puccini 1989 – the role of Neda, Opera “Paliaçi” of L. Kavalos
1990 – the role of Eli, Josif Minga’s Opera “Lyceists” (with the Korça orchestra)
1990 – 16-part recital concert, accompanied on the piano by Johan Botka
1991 – the role of Eleonora, Giuseppe Verdi’s Opera “Trovatore”

1. Second Prize in the “Tefta Tashko” Competition Korçë in the year 1988
2. First and Second Prize in the Festival of Prepared Folk Song in 1977, 1978, 1979
3. First and Second Prize in the Decades of May, in 1981, 1982, 1983
4. First and Second Prize The second of the Albanian Roma in the years 1988, 1997
5. The title “HONORARY CITIZEN”, by decision of the GRAMSH Municipal Council, No. 3 dated 21.07.2000
6. The title “PROFESSOR”, by VKM and the Scientific Qualification Commission no. 147 dated 27.07 .2007
7. Title “GREAT MASTER”, with no. Decree 7333 dt. 12.03.2012 decreed by President Bamir Topi
