VANGJEL AGORA
Actor and director of the Saranda`s Professional Estrada.

Born on March 16, 1958, in Sarande. Finished high school in “Hasan Tasimi” with an excellent average in 1974. That same year competed and won the competition of the “Aleksander Moisiu” Higher Institute of Arts in the dramaturgy department in Tirana. Agora finished his studies as an actor in 1977, from where he was appointed an actor in the Professional Theater of Saranda. He works here in this Institution until 1987. During this time period, stands out in the interpretation of many roles, especially in musical comedies performed on stage by the variety troupe. With this troupe, was often successfully active in all cultural and artistic activities that took place in the city, as an actor with the amateur theater, with the “House of Culture”, in thematic evenings, montages and radio montages, concerts of the artistic word where he stands out as a talented reciter and even more widely in light music festivals and especially as assistant director of the variety show and director of many pioneer festivals in the district.

He has been invited several times by Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re” and Albanian Television for the realization of several roles in various artistic and television films.

Vangjeli has also worked a lot with young talents, helping them in the dramaturgy department. For his contribution as an actor with the Professional Estrada of the Saranda district and in Cinematography, he was honored by the presidium of the People’s Assembly of the time with the “Naim Frasheri” Order. In 1987, Agora was appointed a director at the “House of Culture” in Sarande, where he contributed to the reorganization of the city’s amateur theater, as well as the organization of various artistic and cultural activities, and especially in the organization of the Theater Olympiads of high schools, enterprises of agricultural cooperatives.

In 1991, was appointed director of Estrada until 1998. After that year, he won a scholarship for postgraduate studies at the Academy of Theater and Cinematography of Jon Luka Karanxhai in Bucharest, Romania, which he successfully completed. After one year of working as a director, he left for three years to emigrate to Belgium.
In 2003 returned to Sarande.

Vangjel Agora has realized about 30 directorial projects, variety shows and theater, proving a sense of realism against the interpretation of dramatic works and various materials predetermined in the variety repertoire.

In his concept, care for truth, naturalness, as well as continuous perseverance to increase the artistic level of actresses can be noticed.

As an actor he has played enough roles, but we can single out those in dramas and comedies where we can mention: “With full desire”; “Alert in command post”; “Name me too”; “Snowy flake in April” etc.

In the Albanian cinema, he played in several films: “The Threat” as Besniku (1981); “City Lights” by Petrit Golemi (1983); “White lilies” as Jetnori (1983); “Uninterrupted Melody” as Durimi (1985) “Mission beyond the sea” as Mesues Kalvosi (1988)

Since 2004, has been working as a director with the Professional Variety Troupe, staging several successful premieres.

During this period, the contribution given to Saranda TV as a speaker and director in the news show and various activities organized by this television should not be forgotten.
