Xezair Dafa (1940-2020) Documentary and chronicle film director! #KinematografiaArtiSkenikSporti #Regjisoret Born in the village of Borsh in Saranda on January 24, 1940. He graduated from the technical secondary school in the construction branch and then the high school for actresses near the National Theater in Tirana. He first worked as an assistant director in the films "Commissioner of Light" (1966), "Encountering Death" (1967), "Guerrilla Unit" (1969), "Old Beaches" (1969). During this period and later he played small roles in several films. His first feature film as a director was "Odyssey of fans" (1972), actually a pantomime. His most successful film as a director was "Counselors" (1979). Other feature films are: "Looking for 5 o'clock" (1974), "a difficult journey" (1977), "Itendenti" (1980). His greatest activity was in documentary films, shooting over 25 such as: "New town, new people" (1971), "Pearls of the South" (1972), "Urbanistics of my village" (1973), " Idriz Seferi is fighting" (1984), "Letter from Komani" (1984), "Wait, wait Skenderbene" (1985), "Facing a harsh winter" (1985) etc. In 1987, he passed by the State Film Archive, dealing with filming for archival purposes. From other documentaries and chronicle films, we can mention: "With the help of mountain cooperatives" (1967), "Creative initiatives of the masses" (1967), "Caution" (1970), "Alpinists on the coast" (1970), "Glory" to Mao Zedong" (1976), "New purchase in the village" (1977), "Red Megaphone Ensemble in Albania" (1978), May 1, 1978 (1978), Our chemical industry (1981), "With the climbers e vjejl" (1981), "The Road of a Combine" (1981), "From Bolts to Complex Machines and Factories (1982), "Innovators' Brigade" (1983), "National Conference Dedicated to the Theoretical Thought of Comrade Enver Hoxha" ( 1983), "Always awake" (1983), "Fish cultivation" (1984), "for the health of the people" (1985), "Bleron ki lulja e Joni" (1986), "Ne zemer te dibrane" (1986) etc.
