Ana Gjini (1942-2019) Actress of the "Migjeni" Theater, Shkoder. She was born in Tirana on April 3, 1942. Her father was Zef Shala from Shkodra, while Ane's mother was of Italian-Croatian origin and her name was Maria Zorovic. The 5 children, together with Ana in their minor years, remain orphans when their father dies in 1947, who was eliminated without a trace by the system that had begun to be installed. Ana and her two brothers ended up in an orphanage. She and her older brother moved to Shkoder, while the other brother took her to Fier. In Shkoder, he completed only 4 primary classes to return to Tirana, where he finished his education, at the age of 7, then high school, continuing his higher studies at the Artistic High School. In 1965, she completed her studies and successfully graduated in the department of dramaturgy, at the same time, Ana participated with the women's basketball team, "17 November". Only 3-4 months after graduating in the fall of 1965, she returned to Shkodra, which she had left when she was still a child, starting work at the "Migjeni" theater, the institution that would become a second home for the actress. Shkodra was looking for such an actress to be in the golden column of actresses of this city, but at the same time the director from Shkodra, the well-known Lec Shllaku, was also looking for her. to go to the "Skampa" theater in Elbasan. The artistic values and that ensemble of brilliant actresses made Ana choose the "Migjeni" theater. On the stage of this theater and until she retires, she will perform over 45-50 secondary roles as well as main ones in a wide career of 30 years. In that long list of her performers, we can single out the shows "Eagles", "Bullet in the Dowry", "Bernarda Alba's House", "End of a Comedy", "Monologue for Miggen", "Gjaku i Arbri" etc.! In Sheri Mites' excellent comedy, "Keshilli i ndrikullave" Ana Gjini will be in the main role, as the first actress, in that of "Rine " (dubbed by Marie Qyrsaqi), but unfortunately for the actress, this variant was not registered by VAT under the pretext that she was older (32 years) than the character of the comedy, so she was replaced by another well-known actress Marie Qyrsaqi . Ana Gjini, throughout her artistic life, stood out for her professionalism in the interpretation of roles, creating characters that have remained in the memory of Shkodra spectators. She passed away in Parma, Italy on March 4, 2019.
