Bardhyl Fico (1932-2015)
Cartoonist painter, screenwriter of cartoons.
He was born in Belgrade on November 13 (he is the son of the minister and diplomat Rauf Fico). Finished high school graduating as a construction technician as well as with a higher education in engineering and mathematics and physics. After a short period as a construction technician, he worked for a long time as a cartoonist for “Hosteni” magazine, editor for “Science and Life” magazine, etc. In addition to his other wide activity as a well-known cartoonist, he has also written the scripts of five animated films, starting with “The unexpected things of Pikaloshi” – 1983 and continuing with “Inspiration” – 1986 / “Robinson and the savior” (the series of 1st and 2nd) 1986-1987 / “Small and big” – 1987.
During the years 1992-1997, Fico held the position of Secretary of State for Religious Relations.
He passed away on September 24, 2015.
