Met Bega (1946-2015) Prominent Albanian comedy and variety actor from Tirana! He was born in Tirana on August 7, 1946. From early on, he stood out for his natural inclinations towards humor, being active in the amateur theater movement of the city. For the first time, he appears on stage with school and art amateurs in the Tirana Theater. It was precisely his natural talent that brought him to the stage of Estrade in Tirana as a professional actor. With this show, he became very well known for the roles and skits he performed over the years. His artistic career on the stage consists of more than 40 years of activity, of which the largest part is of course with the Estrada of Tirana. He was a part and one of the main elements of this Estrade. Met Bega belongs to the golden constellation of comedy actresses, especially in Estrada of Tirana, where big names such as Skender Sallaku, Melpomeni Cobani, Vasillaq Vangjeli, Vegim Xhani, Veli Rada, Kosta Kamberi, etc. participated. The skits performed and the characters created by him are countless, especially after the 90s, where together with the other actress Marjana Kondi, they form an irrepressible humor duet. During this period of time, Met Bega is present in many humorous pieces, comedies and various skits, where with his jokes and humor, he talks about the time of changes that the country is going through, and will remain indelible to the entire Albanian audience. Then he will be part of a humorous format on "Tirana Tv" Television. Actor Bega has also played in several artistic films. Deputy in "Two Counts" in 1986, to continue later in the comedy "Violin Strings" (1987); Benches in the park (1988) and "Even so" (1989). The well-known actor Bega has received several awards, among them he was honored in 2010 with the "Naim Frashëri i Artë" order.
