1992-2024 Whenever the actor Agim Shuka is mentioned, it always brings to mind his mysterious murder that happened in 1992. From the little available information, which takes us back in time, 32 years ago, it is said that the actor managed to live a few more days after this assassination. Then he was sent to one of the clinics in Rome. After a few days in a coma, they provided him with a permanent specialized service, devoting himself to both family and society, his peers from Kucova. But he did not survive! Agimi himself must have seen the author or must have known something, but……he didn't speak! This crime remained unsolved. How is it possible that our country not only did not take measures to clarify this assassination, but even left it forgotten. "Case close"? 32 years later only silence!!! Even the world has examples of crimes that were discovered after a considerable number of years. They were able to remain in the dark until the last moment, and thanks to rigorous investigations and new facts that emerged, they managed to be revealed. Curiosity prompts us to search the web for cases of this nature, called "Cold cases". And here in America, there is an infinite number of crimes committed in v. `90s and whitewashed and convicted in v. 2017, as we can take for example the double crime case of John Bittroiff in Suffolk County, New York, who killed Rita Tancredi on November 2, 1993 and Colleen McNamee on January 30, 1994. And this case has a successful conclusion with 12 September 2017, the arrest of this "serial killer" (see Wikipedia "cold cases" / my note). But seeing that we are in Albania, will the Albanian justice someday be able to find the author of this macabre crime? * * * In 1992, right after his death, he protested with the coffin on his arm, in front of the Ministry of Order for the discovery of the criminal, who was never found. It stood for about 20 minutes in front of that building and almost all the participants of that procession shouted: "Stop the crime"; "To reveal the murder of Agim Shuka". 4 tracks were followed, two are private and family, (?) judging by the divorce history. At that time, the laws on the rights and obligations of the couple after the divorce had not been ascertained either. It was hypothesized that they had a problem in the family line because Agimi had immediately separated from his first wife, so he had been divorced before. The other two because of the task (?), being a lecturer at the High Institute of Arts, at that time an alibi arose that he would it was some revenge for some negative grade. However, none of these remained and remain unverified. His colleagues and all those who have known the actor, the meritorious artist Agim Shuka, have always described him as a person who did no harm to anyone, a gentle and kind nature, a hardworking and talented man. He was only 50 years old, premature to change his life, so was his father when he left him an orphan together with his brothers. Mother Kristina raised her two sons with much effort. Agimi finished his studies at the High Institute of Arts in 1966, graduating as an actor. Later, thanks to his acting skills, he became a teacher in this institution for the subject of "Acting Mastery". The excellent interpretation of Uncle Zeno in the comedy "Rain on the Beach" identifies him to the public. Agim Shuka was a great actor and a simple, modest man. His wife, Fedra, daughter Irisa and his son Orli, currently live in England. _ (C) Reserved Material | The exclusivity on this page bears the date – April 7, 2020 and the text was revised in the following years ______________________________________ Albanian cinematography in activity since 2013
