Who was Dhionis Koci or Nizua as others affectionately called him?
More precisely, to help the Albanian art lovers, he is the “Italian soldier” of the checkpoint of a barracks in the film “Debatik” – 1961, who exchanges a few words in a perfect Italian with “Coli”, the small actor Shpetim Zani (also passed away).

“Buongiorno ragazzo`! Che hai portato qui da vendere?
O tartaruga , Dio buono. Ma i soldati sono andati tutti in chiesa…”
!

This is the only role where one can clearly identify the artist who was born and died outside the borders of the homeland.

Dionis Koci was born in Lyon on May 15, 1927 from an Albanian family who had emigrated to France. It was one of the special and rare intellectuals of people. Actor, comedian in the “State  Variety Show” at his time, poet, singer, author of “Mozaik Qeparotas” book and the legendary song “My village Qeparoi” (1949).

Passed away on September 23, 2020. A news given by his granddaughter, Amanda Koci, Albanian singer born and raised in the U.S. The Albanian artist rests in Chesapeake, Virginia, near his wife Kostandina.

NOTE:

Unfortunately, we do not have any details or any further information, confirming for several times the alarming state of Albanian informatics and journalism, which is focused and continues to be given with flesh and soul only in one direction, that of politics and its villains!

Not only have they been left in the “dark” throughout their lives, without being mentioned, but even when the artists of our scene passed away, not even two lines of information are devoted te them
