Esat Kola (1936-1998)
Actor and singer in the variety theater “Migjeni” Shkoder!
Born in Shkoder on November 8, 1936. In his early years, he was a member of the City’s Musical Band, where later during the 60s he was also involved in the Shkodër variety theater, first as a soloist and then as an actor.
On the stage of “Migjeni”, Esat Kola was active in several dramas and comedies, although in secondary roles, from which we can mention: “Si u kalit celiku” (1965)….Klinka Demcenko / “Zekthi” (after 1973)…. .Grasini / “Signals of the night” / “Drenusha e Drenices” (1978) ……Kajtaz Beu / “Baca i Gjetajve” (1979) ……the role of a peasant, etc.
In addition to the drama, Esat Kola also took part in some skits and variety shows with the Shkodra variety troupe, not only in acting but also as a soloist.
Thus, starting in the 60s, he was a soloist in comedies: “M`i gezofsh XX prandverat” (1961); “Stafeta rreth pemes” (1961); “Apartamenti N. 31” (1962), “Festivali i Karnavalit” (1962), “Pikniku” (1962), “Neper bire te cilsit” (1963) , “Peshqesh me e var n`vesh” (1963) , “Rreth e rreth Shkodres” (1964) ku merr pjese edhe si aktor; “Mendo ban kthese” (1965); “Thupra fishkulluese” (1965), “Laj shplaj, qit në diell e thaj!” (1970) and many others.
In these comedy shows he sang alongside big names such as Ndreke and Florinda Gjergji, Bik Ndoja, Marjeta Cunin, Ali Mucici, Gjyljana Marashi, Fatmira Puka etc.
Even Esat Kola as a singer will take part in the 1967 year-end Festival with the song “Shkruaji ushtarit”, with music by Tahsim Oshafi and lyrics by Betim Muca, performed on the second night of December 26.
His name can also be found in cinematography, in Kinostudio films and TVSH television, and there are not a few, about 12 of them, although in secondary or episodic roles:

It has been years since the artist from Shkodran has been gone. Esat Kola passed away on June 18, 1998.
