Haxhi Rama Director, dramatist, librettist Born in Durres on May 29, 1943. He finished his higher studies at the high school for actors "Aleksander Moisiu" in 1965 and soon after he was appointed an actor at the "Aleksander Moisiu" Theater in Durres. In 1974-1975, he continued a one-year post-graduate course for directing, and this same year staged the comedy "The Yellow Card", which was a sensational success thanks to the excellent performance of M. Kabashi in the role of Tel. The following of the subject of this comedy, with its two characters, Teli and Foni, was continued with other adventures with its sister "Player number 10", staged in 1980. Meanwhile, "The Flight of the Turtle" (1985) seems to further consolidate his style as a comedy writer, where the ability to create burlesque typology situations, with elements of sparkle and fun, stands out. With the 1981 comedy "Welcome Elona" with a lyrical, poetic, romantic cut, written with taste, he deals with the phenomena of female emancipation, her role in society, the meaning of love, gender equality. In addition to comedy, Haxhi Rama has written many humorous materials for the Durres variety show, performing the role of its librettist. For 20 years he was the director of Estrade in Durres from v. 1986 – 2006, after Gjergj Vlashi, and performing many premieres of several plays with his dramaturgical creativity in the field of humor such as: "Three men are looking for a woman" (1993); "Alo Estrada" (1996), with which he also won the Albanian Humor Meeting Cup in Tirana and was rated as the best director; "Panorama 88" (1988); "Vote for the Oar" (2000); "Passport of an actor" (2004); "DVD 06" (2006); "A little love, a little love" (2008) etc. His short comedies and long skits became known to the general public: "Babai i Shem"; "The girls of my village"; "Oh you of the Council"; "David's Code"; "Letters" etc. As a director, they like a pure humor without banality, with often poetic texts, taking care of situations and avoiding schemes. Haxhi Rama has also written many song texts, some of which are very popular, such as "Lemza"; "The boy and the rain"; "We are three".
