Irena Harito
Editor and director at Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”
Born on June 18, 1936, in Tirana. One of the veterans of Kinostudio who started working in this institution on February 1, 1953, in the editing department, practicing this craft for 15 years in the editing of chronicles and documentary films, under the direction of the founder of this department, Xhanfize Keko.
Irena Harito was the devoted student of the director Xh. Keko who started her activity with the foundation of the cinema studio.
At Kinostudio, she also works as an editing director in feature films: “Our Land” (1964); “Mountains clad in green (udner the original title “Malet me blerim mbuluar”) (1971); “In Search of the 5 hours shift” (1974).
In 1965, she joined the film archive at the Central Committee of the Albanian People’s Party (PPSH), where she headed this sector as an editor and editing director until 1990.
