Ketrin Gjoca
TV presenter, director and actress!
For the generation of children of the late 70s, she was “Aunt Keti”, a permanent blonde with a sweet portrait, who always smiled and knew how to speak just as beautifully in the afternoon shows for children.
Ketrin Gjoca is one of the most loved figures for Albanians.
Born in Tirana in 1963. Graduated from the High Institute of Arts in the dramaturgy department. She is the daughter of the comedian Vilson Gjoca, at the same time a former director in the State Estrada. For 4 years, she appeared on the stage of the State Estrada with a monologue. This is how her path with art begins. Each child interprets the monologues written by her father. Then, still young, she plays in a theatrical play for children, “The Mouse and the Poison”, without forgetting to be active in the school theater.
In 1972, 8-9 years old, Ketrin took part in the Variety Festival that takes place in Shkoder as a presenter together with Zyliha Miloti and her father Vilson Gjoca. Although a child, she stands out as an artist with talent. Afterwards, she played as an actress in the Popular Theater in several shows alongside names such as Roza Anagnosti.
In addition to television, the presentation of shows and programs for children, she has also performed on the screen of film in several roles such as: “General Gramophone” (with her real sister, Vilma as the two daughters of the Mayor) 1978; “New Shelter” (1977) in the role of Vjollca as well as “The First Navigation” (1984), however, she did not manage to fulfill his wishes with cinema. 
With about 30 years of career in television, she remains well-known as a presenter / host and was especially the one who brought to Albanians the New Year in the afternoon shows.
Quite common at that time for a child to represent the New Year. She would enter the stage at midnight and say to the other children: “I’m glad to see you dear children, I’m New Year”. Her image has remained unchanged, even though after many years she still radiates the freshness and energy of youth.
