Marlon Brando April 3, 1924 – July 1, 2004 Actor and director with a long artistic career of about 60 years. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential actors of all time in world cinema. Born in Nebraska, from an American family, he is known as the actor who brought realism to interpretation. His father also had Marlon Brando, while his mother, Dorothy Julia. His ancestry, his origin is more from Germany, Holland, England and a little Irish. The icon of the world stage, has twice won the most prestigious "Oscar" award with the excellent performance in the role of Terry Malloy in "On the Waterfront" (1954) and Vito Corleone in "The Godfather" (1972), while they cannot be left in forget about other interpretations like: "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951), Viva Zapata! (1952), Julius Caesar (1953), The Wild One (1953), Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967), Last Tango in Paris (1972) and Apocalypse Now (1979). Brando has also been an activist in support of many causes, most notably "the African-American Civil Rights Movement" and "American Indian Movements".
