Petrit Rexha (1953 – 2005) Sportsman and film operator. He was born in Tirana on May 18, 1953. In 1972, he graduated from the "Qemal Stafa" high school and then joined the Dinamo volleyball team. Later he will be the volleyball player of Luftetar of Gjirokastra and Kastriot of Kruje. Passionate about film, in 1975 he started working at Kinostudio "Alhqiperia e Re" as an assistant operator in feature films, taking part in the filming of 14 of them, among which we mention: "Perballimi"; "Face to face"; "Ben walks by himself"; "Mesonjetoria"; "The last winter" etc. In 1984, he finished his university studies by correspondence with excellent results, graduating in language and literature. Since 1980, he has been filming chronicles, documentaries and newsreels. Master the camera skills and start shooting as an independent operator. The first documentary film I made as a cameraman was "Ne prag te jetes" (1980). In addition to various subjects for newsreels and feature films, he has directed about 40 films as a co-author or independently, among which "Me alpinistet e vegjel" – 1981; "Always awake" – 1983; "Sons of Valias" -1984; "Our fellow citizen" – 1985; "Bilbil Matohiti" – 1986 etc. It stands out especially for the quality of the camera in the movie "Kenga permetare". In 1983, he also worked as a cameraman in the cartoon "Light Nightingale". In 1992, he was among the first to be granted permission by the Ministry of Culture to continue his private activity as a filmmaker. In 1996, he withdrew from creative activity and began commercial activity. As a special hobby, he also took up writing stories and different articles that were published in the press of the time. They are stories, novels, chronological notes, kept during a period of 20 years. Later he emigrated to England, where he changed his life on November 28, 2005 in Swinton, Wiltshire.
