Benon Lopari
Actor of the “Skampa” Theater, Elbasan and Albanian Cinematography
Benon was born on June 20, 1956. He has a considerable activity not only in the “Skampa” Theater but also in the Albanian Cinematography. Lopari studied during the years 1977-1979 at the High Institute of Arts in Tirana.
After graduating as an actor, he was immediately appointed to the staff of the “Skampa” Theater troupe in his hometown, with which he would stay until 1995. 
At the time of his appointment, this theater was in its golden period, with a generation of brilliant actors, it is enough to mention the “People’s Artist” Demir Hyskja; Shpetim Shmili; Astrit Cerma; Robert Ndrenika and many other well-known names throughout the wide Albanian audience.
Benon Lopari will be the director of this Institution for two years from 2006 to 2008, and then after he will emigrate to Canada.
We remember the actor from Elbasan in several feature films, starting in 1979 in the film “Beyond the Stone Walls”, in 1984 in the movie “Green field, red field”. Also, during the 80s, “Bitter Spring” (1985), and “Whiteness” (1986).
“Chronicle of a night” in 1990 will be the last role in Albanian cinema.
