Pellumb Decolli
Well-known actor of the “Aleksander Moisiu” Theater, Durres, and also the Professional Estrade of this city, as well as being simultaneously active in several films of the Kinostudio Films, mainly in secondary roles.

Born in Durres on April 11, 1949. In the 1970s, he studied at the High School of Arts, the school where he also met his future wife, Nikolina, an artist and talented violinist who at the age of 15 -year-old would perform in the viola in the orchestra of the Theater of Opera and Ballet, and later appointed as a teacher at the artistic school “Mujo Ulqinaku” in Durrës.

After finishing his studies at ILA, Decolli started working as an actor in the theater “A. Moisiu” in Durres where he would work with great artists, among many well-known and prominent names in the Albanian performing arts.

From 1972 to 1993, this will be the main institution where the actor works, making a valuable contribution. Among the many theatrical performances in Durres, we can mention “The Prefect” (in the role of the mute); “Yellow card” (1975), one of the pearls of the Albanian scene where he plays together with the actors Mirush Kabashi and Milto Profi.

A few years later, appeared in “Player number 10” with the script and direction of H. Rama, an honor appearing in the best of the “Durresak” theater.

The actor Pëllumb Deçolli had already gained the necessary experience to cope with important roles in national and world dramaturgy.

This is how it continues in Moliere’s comedy “I sëmuri per mend”, directed by Sokrat Mio, who entrusts the role of Thoma Diafarys;

Another well-known director from Durres, H.Rama, activates him in “Welcome Elona”; Then he plays the main role in Ruzhdi Pulaha’s “Birth of a Man” staged by Enver Plaku, and so on until he appears in the 90s as he was in “Nameless Star”.

While with the city’s Estrada troupe, he is remembered in the humor piece “Dridhe Like” alongside the famous actor Spiro Strati.

Decolli eventually joined the dramatic theater troupe, with which he performed in dozens of premieres. One of the first shows for the actor was “Zani partizani”, where he played the role of Sefer, the servant of the bey, in the premiere of 1974.

The show was also recorded on the Albanian Television of the time, using the alleys of the city of Berat, but unfortunately, like many other TV recordings, “Zani Partizani” has apparently been lost, rotting in the warehouses and fallen “victims” of censorship thanks to the mediocrity and incompetence of the managers who sat in the post of artistic institutions after the 90s (and this is another story that gets debated).

The actor Decolli also performed in these films:
1980 – (Cinema-opera) Karnavalet….commandant Lilo from Delvine
1980 – Goditja (TV); 1986 – Twice Check Mate.

He has a natural predisposition towards humor, and it was very easy for him to stand in front of his partners, his colleague the famous actor Mirush Kabashi would say about him. Both of them together are remembered by the spectator in the interpretation of one of the first shows entitled “Ah traktoristja (Oh the tractor driver)”.

Like many other actors, he is an important part of the history of the theater of the city of Durres, even one of the most dignified and well-known in the country.

Lives in Italy, and completely detached from the acting profession.
