Marjeta Ljarja – Ilo!
Albanian theater and cinematography actress!

Born in Pogradec on September 3, 1955. In 1977 completed her studies at the Academy of Arts in the Drama department. Ljarja defended his diploma in the main role in the movie “There is life in the snow forest” (Ne pyjet me debore ka jete) in 1978. Then she started his career in the theater of Pogradec.

During the shooting period of the film “There is life in the snow forest” she met the actor and director Rikard Larja and got married.

Thanks to the actor, in addition to his last name, she also received a transfer to the “Popular Theater” where Ljarja will be part of the stage as an actress in November 1979.

In the theater Marjeta performed many different roles appreciated by the public, such as in “Visit of the Old Lady ” by Durrenmatt, “Richard III” and “Two Gentlemen from Verona” by Shakespeare, “Bells of Dusk (Kembanat e muzgut)” by Teodor Lacos, etc. But she showed her name as a talented actress on the movie screen, in Cinematografi where she has over 15 main roles.

She made her debut in 1978 in the film “There is life in snowy forests”, and that same year while still a student at ILA, in the film “Girl with red ribbons” where stood out for the interesting profile with a spontaneous and redeemed interpretation.

While in 1986 in the film “Difficult Beginning / Fillim i veshtire” in the role of Zana, she demonstrates her acting skills in front of the camera, fragile, natural, reliable and full of emotional breakdowns.

With the role of Margarita Begolli in the film “Circle of Memory”  (Rrethi i kujteses) in 1987 marks the peak of her acting, with dramatic and tragic tones.

Awarded as the Best Leading Actress in three festivals: the Second Feature Film Festival 1979 with the role of Jeta in “The Girl with the Red Ribbon”. The seventh feature film festival in the role of Zana in “Difficult Start” (Fillim i veshtire) in 1989. The third feature film festival with the role of Margarita in “Circle of Memory” (Rrethi i kujteses).

There are also many shows on radio and television. For 10 years, she directed the children’s show on television.

In the years 1995-1997, she was the director of art in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. In 1997, Marjeta emigrated to Greece to return to Albania in 2003.
