Matilda Makoci "Meteori i skene", successful actress in theater and film as long as her artistic career lasted. Actress symbol for the 80s, of the beauty and elegance of the Albanian scene! He was born in Tirana, on April 19, 1963. He graduated from the high school of the Polytechnic in Tirana and then continued in the dramaturgy department at the High Institute of Arts. She is responsible for the youth in this institution. He was 23 years old when he graduated from the High Institute of Arts in 1986, majoring in acting. At this age she was engaged and only looked at her personal life, having a kind of pessimism, whether her generation would do something or not for this country. This is how she expresses herself: "On the contrary, in the whole world everyone has a certain position in life. You cannot have such an ambition that I can change this whole way of organizing social life here in Albania. There are many people who have agreed to walk this way. So, at this age I thought we were the only ones, I was closed in my private life and I didn't care about anything else. However, only in this way you will be spiritually calm and you will only do miracles… When you get married you will do more wonderful things than those that change the world…” After completing her studies, she was appointed to work as an actress at the National Theatre. Immediately in this institution, she began her first performances, such as the role of Juliet in Shakespeare's tragedy "Romeo and Juliet" in 1987, as well as "The Taming of the Shrew" with the role of Bianca, where she actually replaced the actress Elvira Diamanti. Unfortunately, her first parts where she performed, are not recorded on video anywhere, even though they belong to the 80s (!?!?) In 1983, she also presented the XXII Song Festival in RTSh. In 1986, Matilda Makoçi was awarded the "Aleksandër Moisiu" Award for her performance in the role of Marjeta in the film "Shadows that remain behind". Matilda has performed several roles in Cinema and Theater: Deputy on the screen in the movie "Like all the others" in 1981 in the role of Life where in the same year she plays another movie in "Ne kufi te two legends". The film "Apassionata" in 1983 will make him known to the Albanian audience. Makoci continued her success with the beauty and skill of a professional actress in the films "Te mos heshtesh" (1985); "Shadows that remain behind" (1985) in the role of Marjeta; "Shpresa (1988) until the last show for the Albanian audience, "Balada e Kurbini" (1990) in the role of a wife. At the beginning of the 80s, Edvin Rama, a student of the Institute of Arts and a basketball player of Dinamo Tirana, began to appear on the boulevard of Tirana and in the Sports Palaces, accompanied by a girl much more famous than himself at that time, a actress who was dominating Albanian cinematography in those years. This was Matilda Makoci. In July 1986, they get married together. On August 12, 1990, she gave birth to her son in Tirana, who will be named Greg by M. Makoç's brother. Both young well-known artists seemed to dominate during married life. Unfortunately it didn't happen like that. After almost 5 years, their relationship ended in unclear circumstances that were followed by a tense trial at the beginning of 1991, the year that followed her family's emigration to Greece. During her stay in Athens, she was active in the Greek serial film, Mikeshat (I Filenadhes) in 1993. In 1996, she returned to Albania when the incident in her life took place. Something had changed. She was no longer the first Matilda… After a while she emphasized a borrowed expression: "People work half their lives to become famous, and the other half to hide…". No one can quench the pains only with heart and golden words, then when the roles of movies, are experienced in daily life. It seems that these are similar to the subjects of movies or soap operas, but this time with human lives, without backstage and the words "Motor!", "Quietness!" and "Action!". The Albanian scene has long been missing the elegance of the charming actress of the 80s, Matilda Makoci. Will there be a chance to dance and will the time come for the audience to see it once again on stage? Away from the screen and the stage for more than 20 years, she suddenly returned to art in October last year. 2016, surprising in the artistic scene. she becomes a protagonist in the "Hare+m" exhibition of the painter Natasha Bega, reciting some verses. The sweetness of Matilda's voice and face have not faded, although we must remember that in her life there were spiritual and health shocks. He seems to have defied them all. She wants to return to the art scene. Yes, Matilda Makoci is back!! __________ Previously published on the Albanian Cinematography – Facebook page in April 2014 and revised in the following years.
