Actor, director!
One of the topics of the page is also “Meteor of the stage”, with the aim of bringing out from the “dust” of oblivion some of our actors who, regardless of their interpretive ability, have had a very short career like the lighting and path of a meteor!
This category also includes the actor Sokol Progri, who was not lucky enough to play in many Albanian films.
Born in Tropoje on May 10, 1951. Progri completed his studies at the High Institute of Arts as an actor.
Sokol Progri has not performed many roles in movies, and the viewer knows him through movies such as: “White Roads” – 1974; “Star above Drin” – 1978 in the role of Pal alongside the singer-actress Adriana Ceko; “The end of a blood feud” – 1983 in the role of Beci, and “The investigation continues” – 1988 in the role of Dilaver.
After graduating as an actor and director, he worked for many years in the theater of Berat, then in TVSH (Albanian Radio Television), and now he works and currently lives with his family in Tampa / Florida in the USA
