The well-known Kinostudio`s operator, Lionel Konomi!

Lionel Konomi
Cinematographer of the documentary and feature film at the Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”. Holds the title “Merited Artist”.

Born in Tirana on September 16, 1944. Completed his higher studies at the Pedagogical Institute in Tirana. After started in cinematography, first dealing with the filming of newsreels and later alternately with chronicling, documentary and feature films.

Konomi shot as a cameraman about 26 documentary and documentary films, among which the following stood out: “Partisan Mother (Nena e partizanit)” (1973) / “Our Language  (Gjuha jone)” (1973) / “Monuments (Monumentet)” (1974) / “Four Songs for the Party (Kater kenge per Partine)” (1974) / “Our Ensemble in Greece (Ansambli yne ne Greci)” (1977) / “Manifestation of strength, health and beauty (Manifestim i forces, shendetit dhe bukurise)” (1979) / “Arbereshet” (1981) / “Roskide `83” (1983) / “October of songs (Tetori i kengeve)” (1983) etc.

Konomi had his greatest activity in feature films, shooting about 15 films. He started with the short film “Enthusiast`s Odyssey” (1972);

Later, Konomi shot mainly under the direction of directors Viktor Gjika, Dhimiter Anagnosti, Spartak Pecani the films “Rruge te bardha” (1974) / “Perballimi” (1976) / “Njeriu me top” (1977) / “Nentori i dyte” (1982) “Ne shtepine tone” / “Shirat e  vjeshtes” etc.

For the high quality of the films shot by him, Konomi was awarded the title of “Merited Artist”.

In 1991, emigrated with his family to Italy as a television reporter in southern Italy.
