He worked in this institution until he retired in 1980, performing roles of different natures, both dramatic, epic and comic, diverse characters, etc. It stood out for a natural game, without contractions or external tensions, real in action, calm and self-contained, giving the word meaning and weight. In 1980, in collaboration with Esat Oktrova and Vangjel Moisiu, he will write the biography with the same title of the greatest Albanian actor Aleksandër Moisiu. On January 24, 1955, Todi Thanasi was awarded the Labor Medal by the Presidium of the People's Assembly of Albania with this motivation: "For mobilization and hard work in the successful realization of the operetta "Era e Lirë" by Dunajevski, thereby contributing in the call of the artistic movement in the region of Durrës". In addition to performing many roles in the theater, Thanasi is also involved in the directing of theatrical pieces that have been staged in the "Aleksandër Moisiu" theater. Mainly these works were by Soviet playwrights. Todi has directed the drama "Invasion" by the Soviet author L. Llomov, "The Lost Son" by E. Ranet, etc. An important place in Thanasi's artistic career is also occupied by his literary creativity. He has written two plays: "Chika e Dukagjini" and "Commander of the guerrillas". Both dramas are based on the lives of two characters well known to the public of that time. The tragic story of Shkurte Pal Vata, who lost her life on a railway construction site, eventually buried, served as the impetus for Todd to write his play. Meanwhile, the figure of Vojo Kushi, whose heroism was immortalized in many history books and various works that spoke about the national liberation war, served as the main character for the second drama written by the artist from Durrës. In the last years of his life, when he suffered from a heart attack, he retired from acting, but did not leave the theater. He continued to work there for the maintenance of the archive of the many works that he and many of his colleagues had performed during those years.
