The comedy was written by comedian Bike Pepa and was put on the stage for the first time in Shkoder on the stage of the “Migjeni” Theater in the form of a sketch in the 70s.
“The Happy Couple” is a feature-length comedy film, produced in 1976 by Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”.

A comedy about life in the 70s. Two young people who come from different religious beliefs decide to marry each other, let their parents know their love. In the meeting between the two fathers, the boy’s father, a conservative surrounded by his wife and aunt, creates a story for him, including comic situations. Since he doesn’t want to hide the fact that he doesn’t love the girl who comes from “another religion”, he makes excuses to make this relationship impossible. The brigadier of the company is included in it, where in cooperation with the boy and the father of the girl, he asks him to accept this engagement. The boy’s father finally surrenders to the love of the two young people.
