The film "Ruge te bardha" is a film produced in 1974. Director : Viktor Gjika. Screenplay : Vath Koreshi. Producer: New Albania. Music: Limos Dizdari.

Movie content A young Deda boy filled with age enthusiasm and love for work wanders along the telephone line looking for disconnection. People living in deep mountain areas eagerly wait for the line to be fixed and wish each other a New Year. Deda freezes to death on top of the pole fighting the cold and bad weather.

"Te Rrugët has something of "The old man and the sea". The teacher, poet and amateur writer (Agim Qirjaqi) is Hemingueji's alter ego, who collects notes for Deda's character waiting for his return from the ocean of snow. Six minutes of film time focuses on in finding the broken telephone thread. Then in fixing it, fixing all the details of the workman's skill, who manipulates his work tools with speed. Whole passages with Deda plowing the snow.. .On the other hand, we have the contrast with the warm, comfortable world, waiting for the New Year. The conditions of life are about to be filled by the being of the worker, who is facing the adventure of his work the whole town and society is waiting for him absurdly, as he pretends that Deda will first fix the defect, enable the continuity of communication and life a creeper, rolls and falls again, falls and rises… There, on top of the sacrificial pillar, covered by snow and frost, the first visions begin. Cold blue and white become warm red. Deda is imagining what the other alternative would be like if she did not feel the inner mystical voice of sacrifice. For a moment, you're dreaming of New Year's Eve with your friends, following an epic highland dance. In another passage of the film, again under the bracket of hypothermia, Deda sees Zana and uncle Riza (Ilia Shyti) greeting him from inside the warm premises, as if to say: "Come back, we are here for your return. These visions remind us of Niko Kazanzaqis's novel "The Last Temptation" (1951), on the basis of which the American director Martin Scorsese's film "The Last Temptation of Christ" (1988) was made. The film proposes an alternative life of Christ, who marries and has a completely human life of sacrifice. In a way, Gjika has preceded the screening of the novel in question by proposing to us an interweaving of Sisyphus, the Elder and the sea and Christ."
