Aferdita Taçi (1932-2013)
Actress of the People’s Theater during the time period 1954 – 1965.

Born in Berat on April 17, 1932. Although she had very few years on the stage, she remained unforgettable in the minds of the viewers.

Taci had completed her secondary studies at the Artistic High School “Jordan Misja” in the drama branch. In 1954, she started working at the People’s Theatre. From the beginning, stood out on the stage of this theater as an actress who evoked emotions and as an actress with more stage energy.

Aferdita has successfully performed many leading roles: “The Merry Wives of Windsor” (1959) in the role of Miss Anna Page; “Shtrengata”; “Bernarda Alba’s house”; “Noble Bourgeoisie”; “On names”; “Hamlet”; “Lilac Garden”; “Family honor”; “Classmates”; “The Fisherman’s Family”; “The truth of Spain” (1961) in the role of Adele; “The brave man with many friends” (1961) in the role of Mirusha, and many others, but above all she stood out in the role of Ofelis in the tragedy “Hamlet”.

In 1961, at the National Festival of Theaters, she won first prize for the interpretation of this role. She was also decorated with the order of work of the third class.

In 1965, Aferdita Taci left the stage of the People’s Theater for objective reasons. The actress passed away on March 3, 2013.
