In the 1970s and 1990s, he produced a number of tele reports and documentary films, the most prominent among them being: “Mother of 10 children “, “Faced with simple people”, “Roads of Zagoria”.
After the 90s, his eye follows the new phenomenon that accompanied the transition phase in Albania, giving correct meanings thanks to the penetration into the spiritual interior of man, as can be seen in the winning film of the II Balkan Television Festival, 1998, in Bulgaria, “The small businessman”.
Other films: “Sos Albania”, “Miss Albania” (awarded with a diploma in Munich, Germany, 1992, and with a special prize at the Festival of Eastern Europe, Russia, 1996, “Quo Vadis” (1993. 4 series), “Bitter bread” (1995), “Journey to the Second Life” (1998), Orion Schrase No. 3 (2000), etc., focused on man and the events of the day in the difficulty of life, love for beauty, youthful graces and joys, etc.

In addition to helping in the documentary film, Y. Pepo is known as the initiator of the Albanian television feature film.
He started with adaptations of dramas, shot in open environments off the stage, such as: “Time of the Commissars” (1974), “Fisheku né pajé” (1975), “Drita” (1976), etc.. before moving on to television feature films with four series “Emblem from the past” (1979) based on the novel of the same name by I. Kadare.
The 20-series series “People and Fate” with a script by Ruzhdi Pulaha was a dramatic film, with a realistic view of the acute problems of Albanian society in the chaotic years of transition, such as family promiscuity, drugs, crime, unemployment, prostitution, trafficking of human beings, the rudeness of communication, etc.
The same optic, sometimes touching serious social wounds, also acts in the last television series “The pain of love” (2008) with a script by Bashkim Kozeli*.
Inclined towards films with strong social motives, in the years 2001-2004 he made several films, such as: “Yllka”, “It was time for love”, “A letter from Moreja”, “Fatal Letter”.
